PROJECT 1

Role : Assistant Instrumentation Engineer in the construction project of Sulphur Recovery Unit (SRU) as part of the Phase III Expansion project of MRPL. Managed a workforce team in performing the various onsite and offsite (management) duties.

Managerial Responsibilities:

• Assistantto the Site Engineer / Project Manager.
• Interpretationof erection documentation for application by the workers.
• Keeping track of the tools and consumables and reconciliation of materials through Store Manager.
• Responsible for coordinating material purchase through Purchase Manager.
• Accounting of the firm through Accounts Manager.
• Maintain attendance and approve leave of employees.
• Daily reporting of erection works status (Daily Progress report) to the Site Engineer.

PROJECT 2

Promoted to Site Engineer in the construction project of LSTK1 (Lump Sum Turn Key 1) of Mangalore Aromatic Complex of OMPL. First contact person for Client. Primarily responsible for manpower handling, monitoring work flow, material management, site coordination works, Preparation of relevant documents for billing, reconciliation of materials, and work closely with all other concerned parties to ensure quality and safety.

Managerial Responsibilities:

• The direct management, supervision and direction of erection personnel team of 30.
• Maintain schedule requirements for uninterrupted work.
• Interpretation of erection documentation for application by the workers.
• Identify and purchase tools/equipments for work.
• Enforce housekeeping and secure all materials and tools/equipment daily
• Keep the physical records of erection progress.
• Resolve and/or clarify any technical issues with authorities.
• Check quality of work and ensure discrepancies/punch list items are promptly resolved.
• Prepare DPR (Daily Progress report) and report it to client.
• Constantly monitor and prevent situations that may give rise to cost variances.
• Enforce EHS policy and zero tolerance for unsafe acts or conditions.
• Check timesheets of erection force and approve their leave.
• Prepare and submit detailed construction reports to superior management.
• Enforce the highest quality of workmanship and adherence to the Site Quality Plan by the work force.
• Prevent rework, claims, non budgeted costs and coordinate with the Construction Manager to fairly and properly allocate costs, while minimizing the impact to COMPANY.
• Conduct daily meetings with Supervisors, analyze progress, checks whether target is met, if not find the reason and take necessary actions and give target for next day.

Site Responsibilities: Direct supervision, hands on involvement and inspection of the following site activities.

ACADEMIC PROJECT

UNIVERSAL TEMPERATURE TRANSMITTER
Designed and implemented a Universal Temperature Transmitter (UTT) on a PCB. It can accept inputs from various temperature sensors like RTD, THERMOCOUPLE etc and process the signal and gives the output in industry standard of 4-20 ma. This device can be used to transmit temperature sensor output from field to the control room where it is monitored and displayed.
